Castle Invest In Equipment

Castle Environmental have recently purchased a fleet of brand new Doosan fork trucks as part of an ongoing plan to upgrade and improve equipment. The company were previously leasing Hyster trucks, but after a thorough procurement process decided that Doosan offered the most cost effective and practical product to suit our needs. 12 Trucks in total were purchased, with 10 being allocated to Ilkeston, and 2 to Cardiff. Castle has entered into a partnership with Windsor Mechanical Handling to provide maintenance cover for the trucks.Operations Director Rob Cowley has led the project, and is pleased with the investment, "We’re delighted to be able to upgrade our trucks all in one go, as whilst this represents a significant spend, a phased approach could have taken some time. Whilst our existing trucks were all still operational, they had all had extensive usage, and with such safety critical items, we’ll always take a diligent and proactive approach to renewal or replacement".
